'Double Delight' Rose

'Double Delight' Rose, the bloom lastest longer than a week and was so incredible. It absolutely glows in the garden compared to everything else.

Good Combinations

Yellow flowering sedums with Lavender. They like the same soil, water and sun conditions, and they come into bloom in the same week.

Rocks, wooly Thyme, Roses and a splash of ornamental Stipa 'Gigantea' grass.

Lavender and Nandina. I can't find anything I don't like with Lavender.

Lavender and Japanese Bloodgrass.

Rose Campion with Diablo Ninebark and Spirea. The hot magenta is surprisingly pleasing.

Lavender with chartreuse heathers, this is "Spring Torch" which is hot red in winter, then chartreuse in summer.

Creeping Thyme and Ajuga.

Puffy Pasque Flower seed heads and Spirea 'Goldmound'

Viola blossoms craddled in Mother of Thyme groundcover.

All some plants need is a good rock! Artemesia and bronze carex.

Blooming spider web chicks with Catmint 'Walkers Low'.

I really love ornamental grasses...they create an ethereal feel and a restful place. Mexican Hair grass with Diablo Ninbark in berry stage.

Showy Spirea 'Europa' with Achillea 'Moonshine'.

A pot of Lemon Balm and gnarled driftwood gives Silver Thyme something to nestle into.

Tawny Daylilies and Spirea Vanhouttei, it's a little shocked from transplant but this bronze corner is going to shine.

Ebb Tide Rose and Feverfew.

Classic Bellflowers, Double White 'Fleur de Neige' Campanula Persicifolia and Blue Campanula Rotundifolia bloom together.

A lime green White Hydrangea, Bellflowers and Blue Oat grass.

Coral Bells and Lavender.

Monarda Bee Balm with Daylies.

As the ragged daisies fade, the crisp yellow Sun Drops brighten the scene, smoothed over by silver blue Oat Grass.

Persicaria Amplexicaulis 'Fire Tails' aka Red Bistort with purple bronze Euphorbia. This pair will continue deepening through autumn.

Lavender and lime green thyme 'Doone Valley' Lemon Thyme.

Campanula Elizabeth with Lavender.

Lavender with just about any rose. I can't think of one that would clash. Even these fading roses are beautiful to me.

Wine colored 'Dominic' Daylily with bronze Carex.

Toad Flax 'Purpurea" against Emerald Green Arborvitae.

Another classic combo: spuds, grilled sausage and coffee.
