The blue Hyacinth didn't get eaten by the slugs this year.
My favorite sedum, Cape Blanco, in it's pink stage. It'll be chalky blue later.
Pasque flowers emerging.
Snowflake swaying and tulips rising.
An early look at the vegetable garden. Radish & onions.
I also tucked radish into the herb garden this year.
I looked back through my notes & discovered that I transplanted a group of cream and peach narcissus here, yet only one came up and it is yellow!
Flowers I planted from seed last fall...excited to see them, I think they are Larkspur, hollyhock...coneflower...can't remember.
A neglected walk along the side of the house got some tender loving care last fall & is now coming to life for the first time. Autumn ferns, cottoneaster and a big mess of irises transplanted from the front garden.
This native is the star of the group.
Pacific Iris back for more...I left the tangles for wildlife over the winter & like the look of the shelter here.
Our mill wheel is covered in lush moss and much happier on this shadier side of the garden. We transplanted it last year. You can see the blue sand from our wedding ceremony peeking out from the center of the wheel.
Leucothoe is cherry red now, and the autumn crocus are sending up their foliage.
All the pink Euphorbia's made it through the winter! I love seeing these.
