Stick Supports

Jon and I made some very cool supports for peas, beans and sweet pea flowers this weekend. We made four of these blair witch looking stick towers with garden prunings & wire. So far we've planted Beans Long Zi (an Asian variety that's best at 26 inch long!), European broad bean from Helga, and Sweet peas.

June Blooms

Peony 'Sorbet'

Peony 'Sorbet' with Bi color Iris and a bee completely passed out head first.

Campanula 'Blue Clips'

Culinary Sage in full bloom.

Lovage Blooms heavy with pollen and a lazy slow moving bee.

Rosa 'Rainbow'

Rosa 'Peach Drift' just beginning it's show. Starting pinker that usual.

The daisy by the roadside has a messy habit but it's charming none the less.

Penstemon 'Red Riding Hood'

The first to open of the the 'Ice Cream' Peony.

'Golden Celebration' David Austin rose.

Our neighbor's pink rhody spilling blooms onto our path.

Euphorbia blooms fading...it looks a mess but I do admit I like a mess for a while.

Peony 'Karl Rosenfeld'

This beautiful Peony only put up a couple blooms this year. It needs a good freeze to bloom well so it may have not had it this past winter. However the bloom this year was the biggest I have ever seen on it.
