A good amount of transplanting has gone on in the garden. The offending garden hogs (while large and healthy) were moved to a back corner. Here is a look at the changes.
With the Oat grass creating googly eyes.
Without the Oat grass. Rainbow Rose and Michaelmas daisies are now planted beneath the Pink Dogwood tree. We kept one of the three oat grasses there.
The lovely Iris blooms can't justify this summer look. They were delegated to a pathway a little more out of the way.
Wine colored Daylily, Autumn Crocus, Fireglow Euphorbia and Zinnia took up the charge.
The Iris moved in with the native shrubs in the footpath garden.
Another look with Iris.
And after.
With Oat grass.
Without. Hey there's a tree trunk there!
The Iris that were driving me crazy.
Without.
Ground covers were added and an Oat grass was moved here.
A creeping Thyme was gathered from other garden spots and planted together here in the semi-shade garden. I'm learning the lesson that like plants should be together to please the eye with swaths and expanses of the same color.
Two lavenders that are the same have been brought together under the pear tree.
These Iris were transplanted from under the hammock to hide over here.
More groundcovers that can take foot traffic, have been added to the drive.
Strings for the Clematis to climb...this has been on my to do list for over a year!
And the offender is now at rest in the compost garden. Much better.
