Seems like today brought our first really sunny day in Seattle this year! Signs of life abound...
I threw some bulbs underground here in the middle of winter...I can't remember what they are...but they are coming up!
Jon & I planted this ring of narcissis & tulips together around our pear tree.
The first to bloom of this type of narcissis...love it.
The rose is budding out red.
I thought this honeycomb buddleja was a goner for sure this winter. Just seemed dead. Today it proved me wrong and I am so excited!
A corkscrew willow branch Jon & I stuck in the ground has also survived! This will grown to a 35' tree.
These grasses were gorgeous all winter long.
Quite an early sunny bunch.
Iris nestled behind a rock in the front yard. Hope they bloom this year.
Hydrangeas leafing out.
The red alien like figures under the allium sprouts are leaves of a gorgeous red peony. Unlikely to bloom for a few years since we moved it...but I am happy to see it's growing!
Another one I thought bit the dust this winter has come alive...a pretty Snowbud tree.
Patches of alliums...these are going to knock me out with their blooms in a couple months. Stay tuned.
The heathers in the front yard have turned out to be the purple Erica! These do really well here & I am happy to have them be this variety.
Leafing out near the moss patch is the Dicentra...Bleeding hearts. sigh.
